Child Development Clinic

Our Child Development Service provides diagnosis, assessment and intervention plans for children from early childhood through to adolescence. Our child psychologists and provisional psychologists in clinical training provide formal assessment for the following issues:

  • Attention Deficit / Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
  • Cognitive Impairments / Intellectual Disability
  • Specific Learning Disorders (e.g. dyslexia)

We are also able to provide assessment and treatment of other childhood issues, including:

  • Anxiety
  • School Refusal
  • Mood problems
  • Challenging Behaviours
  • Oppositional Defiant Disorder
  • Conduct Disorder
  • Bullying
  • Adjustment and Transitions
  • Grief and Loss
  • Enuresis / Encopresis
  • Feeding Issues
  • Sleep problems

Our psychologists are able to provide individualised counselling and support to children and families. We also work with parents, teachers, and other health professionals to develop strategies that will support the management of childhood difficulties at home, kinder or school.
